Description

Lasix injection is a diuretic medicine. It is used to remove excess water or fluid from the body due to various medical conditions such as heart failure, pulmonary oedema (excess fluid in the lungs), kidney and liver disease. Lasix injection contains a water pill furosemide. It works by decreasing sodium, chloride and water absorption from the kidney, causing its excretion through urine. Thus, it reduces body swelling by secreting extra salt and water through urine, thus reducing fluid content in the body.
